RED CROSS RESPONDS TO EARTHQUAKE IN HAITI
The American Red Cross is actively responding to the disaster
in Haiti and will be working with Red Cross partners in Haiti and with the
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent. At this time the
American Red Cross cannot accept in-kind donations for the Haiti international
response. While individuals are eager to help, Red Cross cannot accommodate
donations of food, clothing or medical supplies. The greatest need exists for
financial donations to help supply basic necessities.
Donations can be made to the International Response Fund by phone at
1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or online at
www.redcross.org.
Donations can also be mailed to American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013 or the
Sussex County Chapter, 93 Spring St. Suite 101, Newton, NJ 07860. Please designate: Haiti Relief. You can
also send a $10 donation by Texting "HAITI" to 90999. |
