Cross Instructor Training

JERSEY – Monday, December 29, 2008 –
For nearly a century, the
American Red Cross has prepared
people to save lives through health
and safety education training. From
first aid, CPR and bloodborne
pathogens training to swimming and
lifeguarding, as well as
Babysitter’s Training; American Red
Cross Preparedness programs help
people lead safer and healthier
lives. The Red Cross constantly
strives to respond to the
preparedness concerns of Americans
at home, in school and in the
workplace. To become an American Red
Cross certified instructor register
for the upcoming training class by

A two day
Instructor Training class is being
held on Mon January 5th and
Wednesday January 7th for becoming a
Lay Responder First Aid CPR/AED
Instructor at the Red Cross
Chapter office. This course is being
offered from 8:30 – 4:30 both days.
Participants must attend both days
to receive their instructor
certification. Registrants must also
have current lay responder CPR and
first aid certifications to take
this class. The cost of this
training is $225 and includes all
course materials including
instructor manuals. Upon completion
of this training participants will
be certified to instruct Adult,
Child and Infant CPR/AED and First
Aid. In addition to this training,
on Friday, January 9th a CPR/AED
for the Professional Rescuer
Instructor Crossover is being
offered for those who are already
certified to instruct First Aid and
CPR Lay Responder classes. This
class is being held from 8:30am to
12:30pm at the chapter office at a
cost of $75.00. Participants must
have their own pocket mask. This
training will enable participants to
instruct CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer.
