Ultimate Garden Party To Benefit Red Cross to be Held in Sparta

Guests peruse the silent auction at the 2008 Ultimate Garden Party. Last year the event raised more than $7,000 to benefit the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Newton, NJ July 20, 2009 - Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross Board Chairman, Edward J. Susco, will host a fundraising Garden Party on Friday, August 21st at his Sparta residence to support the local Red Cross Chapter. Susco said he “believes so strongly in the mission of the Red Cross and the work the Red Cross does in our community” that he “is honored to open his home for this worthwhile event.” The event will raise funds to ensure that the Sussex County Chapter will continue to be able to provide critical services and lifesaving programs to the residents of our county.
Susco’s intimate, resort-like property features a poolside bar with waterfall feature where guests will feel like they’ve traveled to a relaxing oasis without ever leaving Sussex County! Food will be provided by upscale catering firm All About Flavor. The menu will feature refreshing cocktails, delectable hors d’oeuvres, luscious light dinner fare and decadent deserts! “All of our revenue comes from the people who live in Sussex County and the companies that do business here,” said Patricia Day, Executive Director. “The Garden Party provides a unique opportunity for supporters to enjoy a pleasant summer evening in a lively setting and to raise money for their local Red Cross at the same time. We are grateful to Ed Susco for hosting this very special event, “Day added. There will also be a silent auction featuring a variety of special purchase opportunities. The cost of the event is $100 per person and reservations are required by August 14th. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.sussexredcross.org or call the office at 973-579-1600.
