American Red Cross offers Professional Rescuer Recertification Training

Newton, NJ, February 25, 2010 – Your team of professional rescuers is often the first group of people to respond at the scene of an emergency, so it is critical that you give them the skills and confidence necessary to save a life. American Red Cross training is based on more than 95 years of experience in emergency preparedness and response. And, because the Red Cross works side by side with professional rescuers in all kinds of emergency situations, we know what it takes to build the best team of first responders.

American Red Cross training combines discussions and video with hands-on skills training to promote effective learning and keep students motivated. This recertification course is based on real-life rescue scenarios and lessons that reinforce decision-making skills, so they’ll be confident to respond to an emergency. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer training includes:

  • Responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants

  • Using an AED on an adult and child victim of cardiac arrest

  • Using personal protective equipment to stop blood borne pathogens and other diseases from spreading

This course includes the latest science on CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
