American Red Cross joins Main Street 5K/10K Festival & Business Expo Fundraiser

Newton, NJ, March 23, 2011 — Mark your calendars for Saturday April 23rd  and join the fun at the Annual “5K/10K Festival and Business Expo”!  Come run or walk, but even if you do neither, come join in the celebrations with over 1000 folks from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The festivities begin with registration at 8:00am and continue until 12 noon when the Grand Prize will be awarded. There’s something for everyone. The event includes a business expo, 5Krun/walk, 10K run, silent auction, activities for children & adults, Roller Derby Girls & Master Ken’s Talium Demo, complimentary massage, Main Street Events Café (selling food donated by Upper Lake Deli, Villa Capri II and Stop & Shop) and lots of door prizes!  Runners and walkers are invited to stay for the festivities, awards and great door prizes given out until noon. (Runners may want to consider bringing a change of clothes). The Grand prize is a beautiful gas grill donated by Eastern Propane. 

This annual festival; presented by non-profit organization Main Street Events; along with several sponsors including: Diamond Sponsor-Eastern Propane, Gold Sponsor-First Hope Bank, Silver Sponsor-Royal Buick GMC, and Bronze Sponsor-Oak Tree Pre-School, will be held at The Fieldhouse at Sparta Athletic Club located in Sparta, NJ at 115 Sparta Avenue.  This year’s event supports the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Key Club of Sparta High School and many of the volunteers supporting the event are from those two groups. Vendors interested in a table at the business expo must register by April 15th. This year the price of the table includes your business mentioned on the insert that will be placed in all runner and walker bags.
