May 7, 2009, Newton, NJ – The Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting a fundraising, book-signing event at Chapter Headquarters in Newton at 93 Spring Street, Suite 101 on Thursday, May 21st from 12:00pm-1:30pm and from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Long-time Red Cross Supporter, former Board Member, and most recently, one of the Heroes for the American Red Cross, Sparta resident Richard Zeoli has offered to donate the proceeds from the sale of his new book: The 7 Principles of Public Speaking: Proven Methods From A PR Professional, to the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross at this special engagement.  For each book purchased, the Red Cross will receive $10.00.

“It is an enjoyable, easy to understand book that will keep you fully engaged,” said MaryAnn Maikisch, Resource Development Manager at the Sussex County Chapter. By following these seven principles, you can dramatically change your perception of public speaking and more importantly, enhance your communication skills—whether speaking with 1 person or thousands.

Zeoli understands and values the Red Cross Mission and he is doing his part to continue to support the Chapter. Zeoli hopes that the book-signing event will draw a large crowd with an interest in enhancing their communication skills as well as supporting one of the county’s oldest and well-known charity’s, the Red Cross. Zeoli will sign each book purchased on May 21st and field related questions.  Light refreshments will be served.

Richard Zeoli is the founder and president of RZC Impact, a pioneering communications firm specializing in executive-level communication coaching and strategic messaging. Richard has advised governors, members of Congress, and Fortune 500 executives. An in-demand speaker, he regularly addresses audiences large and small on leadership and communication and has provided expert commentary on ABC, MSNBC, CNN, and NPR.

The American Red Cross is a non-profit organization that shelters, feeds and counsels victims of disasters; provides nearly half of the nation's blood supply; teaches lifesaving skills; and supports military members and their families. The American Red Cross is a non-profit organization, not a government agency, and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its humanitarian mission.
