19th Annual Golf Classic

Newton, NJ, May 25, 2011 - Registration is now open for the 19th Annual Golf Classic hosted by the Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross! The outing takes place on June 20th at the gorgeous and private Lake Mohawk Golf Club in Sparta. The annual golf classic, a major fundraiser for the local chapter each year, directly supports this non-profit organization which is devoted to serving the community by helping people to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The full day schedule includes light breakfast fare for early golfers, a casual lunch on the terrace, an evening cocktail hour (cash bar) with hors d’oeuvres, as well as a gourmet buffet dinner along with golf awards, raffle and a silent auction! Of course this day also includes 18 holes of golf on the beautiful greens of Lake Mohawk Country Club with contests and prizes – including a luxury vehicle for the hole-in-one contest winner.

Whether you choose to play first thing in the morning or with a shot-gun start at mid-day, you can count on a fast-paced and enjoyable completion of your round. Golfers can participate in foursomes or as individuals. Companies and individuals can also help by sponsoring holes, golf carts, refreshments or dinner for the event. Non-playing individuals can attend the gourmet dinner, which begins with cocktails at 6:30pm.
