Red Cross Volunteers Receive Free Training
to Teach Responsible Babysitter
Training to Local Youth
The
American Red Cross Sussex County Chapter teaches local
youth ages 11-15 important information and lifesaving
skills needed to become Responsible Babysitters. But we
need your help! Volunteer instructors are needed to
deliver Responsible Babysitter Training in middle
schools throughout Sussex County. The course is
generally offered in three 2-hour sessions weekdays
right after school from 4-6pm or on Saturdays from
9am-4pm. Free instructor training will be provided as
well as free training in First Aid and CPR. No prior
teaching experience is required. However, a commitment
to excellence is important!
Volunteers are also needed to assist
in the office weekdays anytime between 8:30am and 4:30pm
to help with a variety of activities, including:
providing clerical support; data entry; assisting with
mailings; setting up course materials and/or filing.
Even if you work full-time during the
day, you can become a valued Red Cross volunteer. The
Red Cross operates 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year and
therefore, volunteers are needed anytime. Free training
is provided! Make a commitment now to share your time
and talent to support your local Red Cross and the
people of Sussex County. You’ll be glad you did!
